Kentucky Justice Facilities Closing Because Of Snow Storm

Justices Centers in Western Kentucky and across the state closed early Monday and will remain closed Tuesday due to the winter storm that is impacting the area.

Around Midday Monday the Administrative Office of Courts announced due to a major winter storm impacting Kentucky, all Judicial Branch facilities would close Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. EST and remain closed Tuesday, February 16. These facilities are the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and Administrative Office of the Courts in Frankfort and judicial centers and courthouses statewide.

Individuals who have court proceedings scheduled remotely during this time period should check with the court where their case is being handled or look for notices on social media to determine if remote proceedings will continue as planned.

Trigg County District Judge Jamus Redd notified the News Edge Monday that Trigg District Court will proceed via Zoom only on Tuesday, February 16.
