Trigg County Reports 5th Straight Day of Single-Digit COVID Cases

Trigg County’s COVID-19 case total was in single-digits for a fifth straight day Monday, with February’s case total running below the previous three months.

The Pennyrile District Health Department reported five cases Monday with three of them ranging in age from two months to seven years old. A single case was reported on Saturday and Sunday.

Trigg County has reported 39 cases of the coronavirus in February compared to 63 in the first eight days of January and 58 cases in December.

Trigg County’s incidence rate moved out of the red Sunday for only the second time since mid-November. Sunday’s rate was 23.4 cases per 100,000 population, equaling the mark on November 17. It was 22.4 on Monday. The last time Trigg was out of the red in consecutive days was Nov. 9-10.
