Wisconsin Man Arrested In Connection To Threats Made Against Murray High School

A Wisconsin man has been charged with threats made this week against Murray High School.

The Murray Police Department reported 19-year-old Kya Nelson, of Racine, Wisconsin, has been charged in connection with the false reports of shots fired Monday and bomb threat Tuesday. Officials said detectives immediately launched an investigation Monday, and detectives discovered that phone calls related to the cases were made by Nelson.

Murray Police Department detectives traveled to Wisconsin, and Friday morning around 7:00, they assisted with executing a search warrant at Nelson’s residence.

Nelson is charged with one count of first-degree Terroristic Threatening and two counts of second-degree Terroristic Threatening. He is lodged in the Racine County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

The Murray Police Department was assisted by numerous local departments and the Racine Police Department.
