Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Taking Money From Police

A Hopkinsville woman wanted on charges of wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police was arrested Wednesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say on Friday 37-year-old Tawanna Humphries allegedly took money that had been confiscated by police during a search warrant at her son’s apartment. Humphries then reportedly fled in her vehicle as authorities were trying to get the money from her.
 
She is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, and tampering with physical evidence.
