With no district tournament awaiting them this season, the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors wrapped up the 2024 season on Senior Day Saturday, dropping a pair of tough decisions to the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm. Heritage decided at the beginning of the season not to compete for the 8th District championship this season.

The opener saw Lady Storm pitcher Emily Ballard limit the Lady Warriors to just one hit as Hopkins Central took a 15-0 four-inning win. The Lady Storm scored three runs in the first inning, three more in the third, and then 9 runs in the top of the fourth.

Rachel Robson had the only hit of the game for the Lady Warriors.

In the second game, the Lady Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, only to see the Lady Storm score 10 unanswered runs to take a 10-1 five-inning victory.

The Lady Warriors, who were the visiting team in the second game, got on the board with an RBI single from Ava DeJager. Two Hopkins Central errors and a hit batter set the stage for HCA.

Hopkins Central then came back with three runs in the bottom of the third, four in the fourth, and three more in the bottom of the fifth.

Both teams had their issues in the field with Hopkins Central being charged with four errors and the Lady Warriors with three.

With the losses, Heritage Christian ends the 2024 season with a record of 7-10.
