Trigg Magistrates To Consider Lower Speed Limit On Portion Of North Tanyard Road

Trigg County magistrates will consider lowering the speed limit along a section of North Tanyard Road.

During their Tuesday evening meeting, magistrate Larry Lawrence said he recently received a request for lowering it.

The request is to lower the speed limit from 55 to 35 MPH on the nearly mile stretch of road. Trigg County Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander told magistrates he had no issues with lowering the speed limit.

The next fiscal court meeting will be Monday evening, February 2, at 6:00 in the Trigg County Courthouse Annex basement.

Magistrates also approved a bid from A-Line Fence Company, of Hopkinsville, for around $10,500 to replace fencing for field four at the Trigg County Recreation Complex. Alexander said that particular fence was in the worst condition out of all of the fields.
