Former Colonel Bobby Irving to Play in California League All-Star Game

A Christian County High School grad will be among the baseball players taking part in an all-star game in California Thursday evening. Former Colonel Bobby Irving was named to the 2024 Power Summer Collegiate League All-Star Team and will play in the league’s All-Star Game.

Irving, who has signed with Shawnee Community College, is the sole player representing Kentucky.

So far this summer, Irving has a caught stealing percentage of 70%, and is currently batting .294 for the Palm Springs Bombers.

Based in Palm Springs, California, the league’s primary focus is player development and advancement. Currently in its 7th year, it is comprised of collegiate players from all over the United States and overseas.

The season for the PSCL is played from June 10 to July 10. The 2024 PSCL All-Star Game will be played at Palm Springs Stadium Thursday,
