A mobile home on Dawson Springs Road was destroyed in a fire Saturday morning.
Westside firefighters say the home was partially engulfed in flames when they arrived just before 9 am.
A woman was home at the time of the fire and reportedly told firefighters she heard a sound from the area of a heater before the home filled with smoke.
Firefighters say the woman was able to get out uninjured but five dogs inside the home were not able to get out in time.
The home is located at 10459 Dawson Springs Road. Westside fire department was assisted by Northwest and Crofton fire departments.
