Two Hopkinsville Men Injured in Early Morning Stabbings

Hopkinsville Police are investigating stabbings that injured two Hopkinsville men early Tuesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Elm Street to check the welfare of a man in the roadway just before 2 am. When they arrived, 30-year-old Derick Willingham, of Hopkinsville, was found to have a large wound on his neck and injuries to his head. He was rushed to Tennova Healthcare, in Clarksville, by ambulance.
Shortly after receiving the call on Elm Street police were notified of a second man 31-year-old Devan Matlock, of Hopkinsville, who showed up at Jennie Stuart Medical Center with a stab wound.
Police say Matlock is not cooperating with law enforcement. It’s unknown if the two incidents are connected.
