Trigg Judge-Executive Clears Up Vaccine Distribution Rumor

During Monday evening’s Trigg County Fiscal Court meeting, Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander cleared up some misinformation that has spread throughout the community.

Alexander said neither he nor the court was a part of any decision on who received the COVID-19 vaccine first.

The local decision is made by the Pennyrile District Health Department, following the guidance set forth by the state. Health department officials began administering the Moderna COVID vaccine last week to healthcare workers and staff, first responders, and state and county road workers.

The next fiscal court meeting will take place Tuesday evening, January 19, at 6:00 in the Trigg County Courthouse Annex building basement. The meeting was moved from Monday, January 18, after approval from magistrates, as it will be Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
