A fire on South Clay Street in Hopkinsville led to a man being rescued from the scene and taken to the hospital Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville firefighters say they were able to get a man who is handicapped out of a duplex after a fire started in the living room. The man was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for burns to his hands and smoke inhalation.
Firefighters say the fire was small and quickly extinguished. The duplex is located at 1722 South Clay Street.
