Winning Powerball Ticket Sold at Max Fuel Express in Princeton

A winning ticket for Saturday night’s Powerball drawing was sold at a convenience store in Princeton.

Kentucky Lottery spokesman Chip Polston says the winner won the second prize after paying an additional $1 for the Power Play option on the ticket, meaning they won $2 million.

click to download audioPolston says the Max Fuel Express where the winning ticket was sold will receive a $20,000 selling bonus. He adds the Lottery’s security staff visited the store Monday morning and completed all security checks.

At this time, Polston says the winner has not come forward. He says they are advising the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a secure location until they claim the prize, which must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing.
