Governor Reports 1,500 New COVID Cases Sunday

More than 1,500 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed Sunday in Kentucky, with the state’s positivity rate remaining near eight percent.

According to Governor Andy Beshear’s Sunday report, there were 1,509 new cases of COVID-19. He added the state’s positivity rate remains at 8.06 percent. There were 21 new deaths reported Sunday afternoon, which pushes the statewide death toll to 2,555.

Beshear also reported 1,504 people are hospitalized, with 411 remaining in the ICU, and 217 currently on a ventilator.
