Trigg County has passed 100 active COVID-19 cases for the first time, but the number of coronavirus cases have leveled off since two reported outbreaks at long term care facilities.
The Pennyrile Area District Health Department reported five new cases in Trigg County Friday — the fewest reported in a week. All of the new cases, which included a 6-month old, are isolated at home. The report said Trigg County currently has 101 active cases involving people isolated at home. 11 other people are hospitalized with the virus.
Trigg County has added 88 new cases this week as two long term care facilities reported outbreaks that involved an unknown number of residents.
For the month, Trigg County has recorded 170 cases of COVID-19, which is eight more than all of November.
