Oath Of Office For Hopkinsville Mayor And City Council To Be Virtual

The City of Hopkinsville will administer the oath of office for new council members and Mayor Wendell Lynch virtually this year.

The city announced Thursday, the mayor and city council members will be sworn-in individually on Tuesday, December 29, inside the council chamber. A comprehensive video will then be aired Wednesday evening, December 30, at 6:00 at Hoptown.org, City TV – Spectrum Channel 376, or the city’s Facebook page.

The oath of office will be administered by Mayor Lynch’s brother and retired Christian County District Court Judge Arnold Lynch and District Court Judge Lindsey Adams.

The ceremonies will not be available to the public, including family members or guests of the mayor or council members.
