Elderly Population Still Hard Hit By COVID In Christian County

 

Christian County’s COVID-19 case report for Tuesday had mixed results despite 72 new cases on the daily report.

While the number of cases increased, the active case total remained the same as Monday at 663. The number of people 21 and under infected dropped to 90, the fewest since December 6.

However, the number of people 60 and older infected with the virus reached a new high of 220. The state’s COVID-19 reporting website showed 19 active cases involving staff and residents at the county’s long term care facilities.

The county’s recovery rate from the virus is 80-percent.
