Automotive Joint Venture To Bring Jobs To Murray

A joint venture between two international manufacturing companies will add 37 jobs in Murray and Calloway County.

Governor Andy Beshear announced the partnership between German manufacturing company iwis, which has been in Murray since 2015, and Daido, a subsidiary of a Japanese company located in Portland, Tennessee on Tuesday.

The two companies are partnering for a new investment that will add more than 10,000-square-feet to the Murray facility to make engine chains for auto manufacturers.

Beshear said the partnership further solidifies Kentucky as a major player in the automobile production industry nationwide.
