Sunday I-24 Pursuit Suspects Arraigned

Lamarr Moye

A St. Louis, Missouri man and woman were arraigned Tuesday morning in Trigg District Court on charges connected to a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 24 Sunday night.

Lamarr Moye appeared virtually before District Judge Natalie White. He faces a charge of DUI, multiple felony wanton endangerment charges, and numerous traffic violations for leading state police on a multi-county pursuit that began near Grand Rivers. The pursuit ended in the parking lot of the Cadiz Wendy’s after police deployed spike strips near the Cadiz exit of I-24, which deflated three tires.

When asked if he had an attorney, Moye said he did in Missouri. Judge White appointed Moye a public defender to help with both cases he is facing.

White set a preliminary hearing for both cases on Tuesday morning, December 15, at 10:00.

Moye’s passenger Zandra McElmore was also arraigned for alcohol intoxication in a public place and failure to wear a seatbelt. Those charges came after law enforcement was able to stop the vehicle in Cadiz.
