Wreck Leads To Drug Charges In Hopkinsville

A wreck on Pennyrile Parkway led to the driver being arrested on several drug charges Monday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 22-year-old Tylon Holmes of Hopkinsville was involved in a single-vehicle non-injury wreck near the US 68 exit.
When law enforcement arrived Holmes reportedly had slurred speech and smelled of marijuana.
Deputies say in his pocket they located a prescription bottle containing Xanax and inside his vehicle, they found marijuana, scales, synthetic marijuana, liquid codeine, and two firearms.
He is charged with DUI, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
