The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is investigating the drowning of a Florida man who was hunting in Graves County Saturday morning.
Conservation officers said 81-year-old Clifford Danhauer, of Williston, Florida, was dropped off around 5:00 a.m. by another member of his hunting group and directed to his deer hunting blind location. Others in the hunting group returned around 10:30 a.m. to the cabin where they stayed and initiated a search for Danhauer.
His body was later found in a creek at the mouth of a private impoundment near Later Hill Road northwest of Wingo, between the cabin and where he was dropped off.
Authorities said foul play is not suspected at this time.
