Testing for COVID-19 in Christian County is being utilized more as the pandemic continues, as the county has reported its highest single-day total of new cases.
Christian County Health Department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney told the News Edge they had nearly 200 people get a test during the two-hour window Monday morning.
Sweeney added Monday also featured their highest single-day total of new COVID-19 cases.
With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the health department may not offer other important services like flu vaccines.
Sweeney added Jennie Stuart Health and other hospitals around the area are seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Sweeney understands the community is tired of COVID-19 but said the right things must continue to be done.
