A woman was rushed to the hospital and a Clarksville man was arrested after a shooting at an Oak Grove gas station Monday night.
Kentucky State Police say 22-year-old Angela Perez of Clarksville was at the Marathon on Hugh Hunter Road when 31-year-old Evan Adams who she had been in a past altercation with pulled up.
Adams reportedly approached Perez to confront her and got into another fight with her and when she fled in her vehicle Adams fired a gun hitting her in the stomach.
Perez was located in a car at Papa John’s on Fort Campbell Boulevard shortly after and taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare.
The gas station remained blocked off with crime scene tape and law enforcement vehicles for several hours as evidence was collected.
Adams was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and on a warrant for failure to appear.
