A wreck on U.S. 68 at the intersection of Rocky Ridge Road sent a woman to the hospital Friday night.
Cadiz Police say 67-year-old Bingham Francis of Trigg County was attempting to turn onto U.S. 68 from Rocky Ridge Road and hit a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Katherine Smith that was westbound.
The crash caused Smith’s vehicle to overturn. Smith was taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital for what police say are minor injuries.
Francis reportedly left the scene of the accident and was located at the Harper House Restaurant. He was cited for failing to maintain insurance and leaving the scene of an accident.
The crash happened just after 7 pm.
