KSP Still Looking for Princeton Man After Monday Pursuit

Cameron Malone sought by KSP

Kentucky State Police are continuing to search for a Princeton man who fled after a pursuit in McCracken County earlier this week.

Post 1 spokesman Trooper Adam Jones says 21-year old Cameron Malone is still at large after he fled on foot at the intersection of Reidland Road and Nickell Heights Road.

Kentucky State Police reported the pursuit began Monday afternoon when Trooper Landon Stewart tried to stop a vehicle driven by 18-year old Steven Moor, of Princeton after he observed him speeding and driving recklessly on Interstate 24 in McCracken County. The pursuit continued off I-24 into the Reidland community where police said Moor crashed into a car driven by 53-year old Jeffery Stone, of Paducah, causing his vehicle to hit a utility pole. Trooper Stewart veered off the road into a ditch to avoid a collision. Police said Stone was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and Trooper Stewart was transported to Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for minor injuries.

State Police also said during the pursuit Trooper Stewart saw Moor toss an item out of the vehicle which was later determined to be a handgun

Moor was booked into the McCracken County Jail facing numerous charges including first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police in a motor vehicle and on foot, receiving a stolen firearm, and possession of marijuana.

State Police are asking the public to notify law enforcement with any information related to Malone’s whereabouts. They say he has active warrants at this time out of McCracken County.
