Although a few additional votes were received for the Cadiz City Council and other races in Trigg County, no changes were made.
County Clerk Carmen Finley confirmed to the News Edge Monday morning that there were no changes to any candidates in the county because of the extra votes.
Everyone who ran for council, except for Bob Noel, received one additional vote. Meaning that Brian Futrell, Susie Hendricks, Susan Bryant, Noel, and Frankie Phillips will each serve an additional two-year term. Brenda Price was also voted in for a two-year term.
Councilmember Jeannie Bodine received the fewest votes and will not return to the council for a second term.
In the Cadiz City Council race, the top six vote-getters are elected for a term.
Finley said nine additional ballots came in by Friday.
