As Voting Winds Down, No Major Issues in Christian or Trigg Counties

Minimal issues have been reported in Christian and Trigg counties as the November General Election wraps up Tuesday afternoon.

Christian County Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries tells the News Edge, as of 4:00, it was estimated over 5,000 people cast their ballot Tuesday.

 

Humphries says another 12,984 people voted early in person, and 4,717 mail-in ballots had been received as of election day.

There are seven places to cast your ballot in Christian County until 6:00. They include; the Bruce Convention Center, the Christian County Courthouse, the Christian County Senior Citizens Center, Valor Hall in Oak Grove, Sinking Fork Baptist Church, Pembroke Baptist Church, and Crofton City Hall.

In Trigg County, County Clark Carmen Finley tells the News Edge things have gone smoothly.

 

Finley adds, as of 4:30, nearly 1,000 Trigg County residents had cast ballots Tuesday, while another 6,252 Trigg Countians voted early, either in person or by mail-in ballots received as of Tuesday.

As of 3:00, Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s office had received nearly 90 complaints of fraud and other issues. In Christian County, there was one procedural question, and Caldwell County had one election official complaint.
