Crofton Fatal Hit-and-Run Suspect Arraigned

A Crofton man charged in connection to a fatal hit-and-run collision in August was arraigned in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.

Circuit Judge Andrew Self accepted a not guilty plea on behalf of Alan Barnett. Judge Self set a pretrial hearing for December 2nd.

Barnett faces a charge of leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance with death or serious physical injury.

The charge is in connection to a fatal hit-and-run on South Madisonville Street in Crofton that occurred on the morning of August 19th. Christian County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and found 20-year old Jared Yoder was riding a bicycle on South Madisonville Road when he was hit and killed by a truck.

Deputies determined Barnett was driving the truck, and he was later located at a home on North Old Madisonville Street in Crofton, where he was arrested.
