Hopkinsville Man Charged With Trafficking Cocaine

A Hopkinsville man was charged after he was reportedly found with drugs during a traffic stop Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 42-year-old Corie Jones was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt in the area of Colonel Drive and East 1st Street.
During the stop, officers could reportedly smell marijuana and found a vacuum-sealed bag containing 4 grams of cocaine, marijuana, and a 9mm handgun.
Jones is charged with failure to wear a seatbelt, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and trafficking in cocaine and marijuana.
