Hopkinsville Man Charged With Threatening To Blow Up Hospital

A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly threatened to kill a doctor and blow up Jennie Stuart Medical Center Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to three different disturbances involving 45-year-old Tony Hale before he hit his head trying to get into his bedroom causing him to lose consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where police say he made threats to blow up the hospital, kill staff members, and made racial slurs towards the doctor.
Police say Hale grabbed a nurse’s behind and continued yelling threats and cursing causing a disturbance in the hospital. When police arrived he allegedly told them there was bombs installed in their cars and he would blow them up. Police say he told three of the officers to keep an eye on their children, as they would be killed.
Hale is charged with third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree disorderly conduct.
