Todd County Reports Five New COVID Cases Tuesday

Five more new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Todd County Tuesday with two of those cases linked to an outbreak at a church.

Jen Harris with the county’s health department said the new cases involve three adults and two minors. Of the three adults, she said two of the adults have underlying health conditions and one of those cases is in the hospital with moderate symptoms. She said the other adult with underlying health conditions is isolated at home with mild symptoms and is connected to a church outbreak. The third adult is isolated at home with mild to moderate symptoms and is also connected to a church outbreak.

Harris also reported both minors are isolated at home with moderate symptoms. She added one of the minors is connected to other cases infected with the virus.

To date, a total of 213 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Todd County. Of those cases, 175 have recovered, 19 are healing at home, and six are hospitalized. There have been eight deaths linked to the virus.

According to Harris, the county’s recovery rate is 82%.
