Princeton and Eddyville Law Enforcement to Join Together to Increase Drug Trafficking Control Efforts

Law enforcement in both Princeton and Eddyville will soon be working together to help increase drug trafficking control efforts following a decision made by the Princeton City Council.

During a meeting Monday, Mayor Kota Young asked for a motion to enter into an agreement with the City of Eddyville concerning the new opportunity for both law enforcement agencies.

Following a motion by council-member Carl Copeland and a second by council-member Morgan Rousseau, the council unanimously approved the agreement.

In other business Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis reminded the council that fall burn restrictions returned October 1st.

He went on to advise against throwing lit cigarettes out of car windows when driving down the road.

Chief Francis ended by stating only natural vegetation is legal to burn but residents would be responsible and subject to fines should a controlled burn get out of control.
