Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Cadiz Man on Burglary Charge

A traffic stop and subsequent investigation by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a Cadiz man on burglary charges.

Sheriff Aaron Acree said he stopped a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Loucio A. Sepulveda on Main Street for driving erratically. During the traffic stop, Acree said Sepulveda was acting suspicious and that a glass pipe was found in the vehicle near where he was sitting. The sheriff also said he recognized Sepulveda from a surveillance video of a burglary that occurred in the 7000 block of the South Road.

During questioning, Sepulveda admitted to being on the property and taking weapons and tools from the residence. He told Acree he sold a firearm to a female in Hopkinsville.

Sepulveda was charged with burglary – first degree; reckless driving; possession of drug paraphernalia and having no insurance and vehicle registration.
