The Christian County Health Department reported an increase of twelve COVID-19 cases that were confirmed Thursday afternoon, pushing the overall total to 1,007 cases since March.
According to the health department’s report, the number of active cases decreased by thirteen since Wednesday to 235, while the number of recoveries increased by 25 to 758.
The report shows there were ten less active cases in those 21-years of age and younger; a decrease of five cases in the 22 to 59 age group; and, one less case in the 85 and older category. The only increase in active cases was in the 60 to 84 age group, which rose by three to 48 cases.
To date, there have been fourteen deaths related to the virus in Christian County.
