Humphries Shares Options to Vote in Christian County

Christian County Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries is reminding the public of the different options to cast your ballot in the November General Election.

Humphries spoke to Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club members Thursday afternoon. She said there will be multiple ways to make your voice heard in this election. One way is by requesting a mail-in ballot here.

Humphries added if you choose the mail-in option, they must be dropped off at their office in the courthouse, the sheriff’s office, or postmarked by Tuesday, November 3. Mail-in ballots can be requested through Friday, October 9.

Another option is early voting, which begins Tuesday, October 13, and continues for three weeks.

The early voting will operate every day except Sunday’s at both locations from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will end Monday, November 2.

The last option will be to vote normally on Election Day Tuesday, November 3. Humphries said they are still working on plans but they will have multiple locations open to voting in-person that day.

According to Humphries, the Bruce Convention Center and the Christian County Senior Citizens Center in Hopkinsville and Valor Hall in Oak Grove will be locations open for in-person voting on Election Day. More locations are being determined and will be announced when more information becomes available.
