No New COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Kentucky Monday

Governor Andy Beshear announced no new deaths linked to COVID-19 Monday.

The governor says the number comes from less reporting because of the Labor Day Weekend and adds the state has lost nearly 1,000 residents. He says with the rise in cases the last couple of weeks, more deaths will follow in the next couple of weeks.

Beshear also announced 291 new COVID-19 cases, meaning over 53,000 cases have been announced in Kentucky since March. The positivity rate now sits at 4.34% and over 10,600 recoveries have been reported across the Commonwealth.
