A Henderson man was charged with DUI and drug possession after a single-vehicle wreck in Lyon County Sunday night.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the wreck around 9:20 p.m. on Kentucky 274 about nine miles south of Eddyville and determined 25-year old Samuel Higgs failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right outside shoulder of the road. Higgs’ SUV then traveled down an embankment and hit some small trees and brush. Deputies said Higgs was uninjured in the crash.
Following an investigation by the sheriff’s office and state police, Higgs was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
