Deputies have released the name of a man that was injured in a wreck on Pennyrile Parkway five miles north of the Crofton exit Monday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a tractor-trailer driven by Hazim Sadiq was southbound on Pennyrile Parkway when he hit a guardrail then ran off the road and down an embankment.
Sadiq was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated, before he was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville then flown to a Nashville hospital with what deputies say are severe injuries.
The crash happened just before 6 pm.
