Trigg And Lyon Counties Report New COVID Cases Monday

A total of five new positive coronavirus cases were confirmed in Trigg and Lyon counties Monday.

According to the Pennyrile District Health Department, Trigg County had three new positive cases, pushing the overall total to 85 cases since the beginning of the outbreak. The new cases involve a 67-year old male, a 39-year old female, and a 28-year old male, all of whom are isolated at home.

Health officials said two cases were confirmed in Lyon County involving a 66-year old male and a 58-year old female, who are both isolated at home. Lyon County now has a total of 43 COVID cases.

The health department also reported the seventh death related to the coronavirus in its five-county district. Officials said a 68-year old male died in Crittenden County.
