Hopkinsville Rotary Club Celebrates 100th Anniversary

The Hopkinsville Rotary Club spent some time Thursday night reminiscing about the club’s history as they celebrated its 100th anniversary during the Museums of Hopkinsville-Christian County History on Tap program.

Christian County Historian William Turner was the featured speaker and said the roots of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club date back to 1920.

The small crowd on hand at the Hopkinsville Brewing Company on East 5th Street also heard about the Goat Club which has become the single largest Rotary Club fundraising project in all of Rotary International.

This year’s 70th annual Hopkinsville Rotary Auction, slated for Monday, September 14 thru Saturday, September 19th, will be different than in years past due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
