Judge Tribble Reminds Public Census Workers Going Door To Door

Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble

Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble announced at Tuesday morning’s fiscal court meeting the Census is still ongoing in the county.

Judge Tribble says those working for the Census are going door to door to collect information before the September deadline.

In new business, magistrates unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding for a more than $10,800 grant to be used to fund drug court coordinators. County Treasurer Walter Cummings explained this is an agreement between the county and city.

In addition, magistrates unanimously approved a commonwealth attorney lease for a three-year term around of $22,670, as well as the Christian County Sheriff’s 2019 tax settlement.

Amy Frogue, associate director with the Pennyrile Area Development District, also announced the annual household hazardous waste collection event is coming up Saturday, September 12th.
