Three Trigg County Teens Among Four Active COVID Cases Reported

Trigg County is reporting 20 active cases of COVID-19 Friday which is the most for the county since its first reported case in April. The Pennyrile District Health Department said four new cases were reported Friday, with three of them 17-year-old females.

The other was a 72-year-old female with all four people isolated at home. They did not say if any of the cases were related to each other or to previous cases. The health department said three of Trigg County’s 20 active cases are hospitalized.

The previous high of active cases as reported by the health department was 13 on July 10. The Pennyrile District Health Department does not release daily numbers regarding active cases and hospitalizations.

Trigg County reported 17 cases of the virus in July with 19 reported in the first 21 days of August.
To date, Trigg County has seen 68 cases of COVID-19.
