Hopkinsville Man Charged After Fleeing From Police On A Bicycle

A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly fled from police on a bicycle on South Campbell Street Monday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 40-year-old Deoreo Wilson for his bicycle not having a light and he gave police a fake name and date of birth.
After being warned by police about giving false identifying information he reportedly dropped his backpack and fled on the bicycle.
He was later found hiding next to a camper in the area and arrested he is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and giving officers false identifying information.
Wilson was also found to have warrants for failure to appear and probation violation.
