Two Princeton Teens Injured When Semi Strikes Horse

Two Princeton teenagers were flown from the scene of an accident involving a horse and a semi tractor trailer late Sunday night.

Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison states around 10:45 officers responded to a collision with injuries on Marion Road, just south of Beckner Lane, involving a tractor trailer and two juveniles riding a horse. He adds investigation revealed that 52-year-old Michael Stiles, of Marion, was traveling north on Marion Road in a white 2005 Mack semi tractor trailer when he crested the top of a hill and collided with 16-year-old Trenton Ramey and 16-year-old Stanley Vickery, who were in the roadway on horseback.

Assistant Chief Allison notes both Ramey and Vickery were flown from the scene to hospitals in Evansville and are reportedly in stable condition.

The roadway was shut down for two and a half hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
