A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant Thursday afternoon for theft after he reportedly cashed fake checks.
Hopkinsville Police say on July 9th 46-year-old Amechee Sanders deposited four checks from Anthem totaling $3,440 using a mobile banking app before withdrawing the money.
The checks were found to be fake and before he was arrested he reportedly tried to deposit two more checks, they were not accepted.
He is charged with six counts of theft by deception and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
