Hopkinsville Man Charged With Meth Possession

A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of meth after a traffic stop on East 2nd Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 30-year-old Jewell Jones was the passenger in a vehicle stopped by police and he was found to have active warrants for failure to appear, contempt of court, and probation violation.

After being arrested and put in the back of a police cruiser he reportedly told police he had drugs in his pants. Police say a gram of meth was found on him and he was charged with possession of meth.
