Almost $700 Raised By Lendmark and Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Truck

Almost $700 was raised last week to help families dealing with childhood cancer through the partnership of a local financial company, the community, and a pretzel truck.

Diane Hopkins, Lendmark Financial Loan Consultant, says Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Truck helped them raise about $690 on Thursday through the sale of tasty treats. She adds the six hour event actually brought in over $4,000 but notes only a portion of those funds equaled out to the almost $700 donation to the organization CURE Childhood Cancer.

Hopkins explains every year Lendmark locations throughout the nation gather together to raise money during the “Climb to a Million” fundraising event but this year is a bit different due to the coronavirus pandemic. Lendmark in Princeton normally hosts a cookout but decided to go a bit out of the box this year by brining in the pretzel truck in order to keep everyone safe but still raise money.

She states they are still hoping to bring the pretzel truck back to Princeton closer to the end of the national fundraiser.

Hopkins states the organization, CURE Childhood Cancer, helps provide things such as hot meals, needed practical items, grants for medical bills, supplies for cancer research, and more for families who are dealing with childhood cancer.
