Guthrie Man Charged After Pursuit In Todd County

A Guthrie man was arrested after he fled from law enforcement in Todd County Saturday night.

Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for a disturbance at 30-year-old Billy Reynolds’ parents’ home in Guthrie and as they responded he left the home.

Deputies reportedly found his vehicle on Davis Mill Road and attempted to stop him and he pulled into a driveway then sped off turning back onto Davis Mill Road.  During the pursuit, Reynolds’s female passenger opened the door to the vehicle and tried to get out but the door hit a mailbox causing the door to close.

Reynolds allegedly drove on the wrong side of the road and was stopped after law enforcement used stop sticks to puncture his tires. His passenger reportedly told deputies she did not want to go with Reynolds but he carried her to the vehicle anyway. He also made her get into the driver seat during the stop.

Reynolds allegedly attempted to throw out pills during the stop but they were found laying underneath him. Reynolds was found to have a warrant out of Elkton on several charges after he fled from law enforcement on June 24th.

Law enforcement reportedly tried to stop Reynolds on June 24 for crossing the center line and driving without headlights and he drove into a cornfield then fled on foot.

Reynolds was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

He was also arrested on the warrant from June 24th on charges of driving on a DUI suspended license, theft of a motor vehicle registration plate, two counts of wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police.
