Trigg County Preliminary Primary Election Totals

United States Senate candidate Charles Booker holds a lead in the Trigg county Democratic Primary following a day of voting at the Trigg County EOC and The Way Christian Youth Center.

According to preliminary numbers released Tuesday evening Charles Booker received 126 votes compared to 92 for Amy McGrath in the Democratic United States Senate Primary.  Incumbent Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell easily leads the Republican primary with 416 votes.

In the First District Court of Appeals race, Chris McNeill leads with 257 votes, with Jenny Hines in second with 213 votes, Judge Rene Williams in 3rd with 126 votes, and Jason Cothran in 4th with 69 votes.

More than 800 people turned out to vote in the Primary Election Tuesday, June 23, in Trigg County.

County Clerk Carmen Finley says there are still several votes to be counted.

Finley adds she was surprised by how well voters have responded.

The unofficial Trigg County vote totals will be released by County Clerk Carmen Finley Tuesday, June 30, after election officials count more than 2,000 paper ballots and tally the absentee voting machine that was located at the Trigg County EOC.
