Trigg County Voters Need to Request Absentee Ballots Monday

Trigg County voters and anyone else in Kentucky who want to vote by absentee ballot in the June Primary Election must request one by 4:00 PM Monday.

County Clerk Carmen Finley tells the News Edge ballots can be requested by visiting govoteky.com. She says it’s an easy and secure way to get a ballot without having to fight any crowds through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Finley adds there is currently one location to vote in Trigg County until Election Day on June 23.

As of last week, over 1,700 people have either voted in person or requested an absentee ballot by mail in the county.

On Election Day, Finley reminds voters their normal polling place will not be open, but there will be two locations to cast ballots.

All paper absentee ballots must be postmarked by 6:00 PM on June 23 in order to be counted. Finley says initial election returns will be released on the evening of June 23, with the final results to be tallied Tuesday, June 30.

For more information, you call Finley’s office at (270) 522-6661.
