A Hopkinsville man was arrested after police say he fired a gun on Gale Lane Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 47-year-old James Powell who is a convicted felon fired a gun into the ground just after 6 pm.
Powell was arrested on Lafayette Road and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
